  • Right from the very beginning of this disease incidence in the area of the Czech Republic our institution has implemented a wide range of measures in relation to our clients, their visits and our staff with the goal to protect them from the outbreak.
  • There has been introduced an intesified medical supervision over our clients putting emphasis on an early detection of all possible respiratory illnesses.
  • We perform 2x a day regular measurement of a body temperature of the clients.
  • All planned examinations out of the facilities, if it was possible with the respect to a client´s state of health, have been rearranged.
  • All events out of the facilities and most of the group events with a presence of the third person inside the facilities have been cancelled.
  • We have introduced an extensive desinfection plan using the latest virucid means.

Our institution is acting in all respects in compliance with the decrees and recommendations of the Goverment of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Health, the State Medical Institute and individual regional  public health protection authorities. Our steps are being led in compliance with the Recommended procedures of the Social Care Providers Association CR. We had actively participated on a preparation of this document  which was introduced on the ground of ALZHEIMER HOME Zátiší with a presence of the deputy of the minister of health prof. MUDr. Roman Prymula, CSc., Ph.D. last Thursday.

Our institution had never in the past, even during seasonal flu outbreaks and in contrast to other providers, accepted a full ban of visits. Last week, in connection with visits, we implemented some regime measures as an evidence and control of visitor´s state of health. Today the Ministry of Health ( based on the decision of the National Security Council) has prohibited all visits in a blanket manner in long-term stay social care facilities effective from 10.3.2020.

The exception in case of our type provider makes such a situation when a client ranks among the category of social service users with a limited legal capacity or social service users in a terminal stage of an incurable disease. In case of an application to visit such a client, contact, please, the facility manager. It is about really exceptional cases, a visit takes place after a consultation with the managing physician and in a regime of special barrier measures.

We are taking the liberty of asking our client´s nearest  to respect the visit prohibition decree. A social care provider is severely penalised for any decree infringments. What is more, all of these steps imposed by the state are undrestandable and in the highest interest of protection of seniors and chronically ill people.

At the end, let us mention several general notes. First of all, we would like to calm you all. All of the measures are temporary only and we believe the situation will be successfully managed. Even though the illness means a threat mainly to seniors as well as the chronicy ill and to combat it means a true challenge mainly due to its easy and quick transmission, the epidemiologic situation within the CR is far away from the annual seasonal flu outbreaks, what is more, an illness course in the infected people has been mild in all cases. Despite this fact our institution management and our medical team are in 24/7 contact with all of our facilities, intitutions in charge and we are thoroughly monitoring the epidemiologic situation in individual regions of the CR as well as abroad and we are ready to react operatively.V případě jakýchkoli dotazů neváhejte, prosím, kontaktovat ředitelku zařízení nebo vedoucího lékaře.

In case of any questions do not hesitate, please, and contact the facility manager ort he managing physician.

Thank you.

Kind regards

MUDr. Boris Šťastný, MBA, chairman of the management board, b.o.h
Mgr. Miluše Horváthová, facility manager, b.o.h
MUDr. Tomáš Hlaváček, managing physician, b.o.h.
